Pinot Noir Célèbre Craighall Chardonnay Pinot Gris

Petrie Chardonnay
Always delicious right from bottling and for all 3 to 4 years from the vintage. Petrie is generally a lively, vibrant, fruit-driven style, with cooler fruit characters (Clone 15) and often a minerally, stony quality, more in the style of Chablis. It is serious Chardonnay which should not be underestimated - always beautifully balanced, with real fruit weight coming through from these low yielding (< 2T/acre) vines in East Taratahi, 20 minutes north of Martinborough. It will certainly cellar longer if you like your Chardonnay with more intense bottle-aged character; it really becomes a personal choice, and also depends how cool your cellar is.
